It was a time of celebration, the full expression of the satisfaction of the operators from different European countries that were able to discover our land and all its extraordinary potential. The educational tour organized by Jet Travel Service – Tour Operator of our Group, which was included in the workshop, allowed them to discover the variety of the area: Pantalica, Palazzolo, Noto and Siracusa. Places of millenary culture which are entwined with extraordinary natural landscapes.
The workshop closed with fashion and flavours. A fashion show by the local manufacturing companies that presented their respective attractive collections. Clothes with the flavour of Sicily and tell its story. The show was accompanied, as well as by lighting and music, by delights for the palate, based on local products from our land, characterized by a culinary tradition which is simple and superb at the same time.
The pilot project, realized by the Regional Province of Siracusa co-financed by Por Sicilia 2000-2006, measure 6.06 – internationalization of the Sicilian economy, has already carried out and has plans for a series of initiatives aimed at showcasing the excellence of the territory of Siracusa, its agricultural and food products, its crafts and potential for tourism meeting high standards of quality. With the splendid evening at the Hotel Caiammari, a virtuous circle of social and economic exchanges has got under way between local producers and international operators, at the base of which there are high quality products on which to concentrate and the resources of an extraordinary area. The hope can only be that the fruit of all this can be gathered, giving greater emphasis to a culture of welcome to relaunch the vo cation for tourism of the province of Siracusa.
