Teamnetwork handball: a big year of international fixtures, Serie A and youth development

From the Under-17 academy come the Syracuse talents Gianluca Vinci, Umberto Bronzo and Alessio Lo Bello, together with Luciano Carini and the Under-16 squad. It has been a particularly demanding year for coaches and officials who, along with sponsor Teamnetwork, also managed to bring three international fixtures to Syracuse.

From the Under-17 academy come the Syracuse talents Gianluca Vinci, Umberto Bronzo and Alessio Lo Bello, together with Luciano Carini and the Under-16 squad. It has been a particularly demanding year for coaches and officials who, along with sponsor Teamnetwork, also managed to bring three international fixtures to Syracuse, featuring the Italian men's and women's national teams. The Syracuse crowd quite literally carried both national sides.

Playing Israel and Portugal, the women's national team came through the qualifying round for the world championship, while in a thrilling finish the men's national side beat first Georgia and then Luxembourg, qualifying for the 2020 European Championship.

Syracuse also had the satisfaction of seeing coach Peppe Vinci on the national team staff and, among the FIGH officials, the Syracusan federal councillor Placido Villari. Vito Laudani Gabriele Nobile have won permanent places in the first team. The talent and professionalism of Syracuse handball continue to produce regional titles: this year again the city's young players took the Under-12 men's, Under-16 men's, Under-18 men's and Under-16 women's championships, while the Under-14 men's side secured a place in the finals.
