Near Darou, in the Thiès region of Senegal, Teamnetwork, together with two qualified partners in the sector and a local shareholder, has invested in building a crushing plant to produce concrete aggregates from silex.
Silex is a material that comes from phosphate mining, with a particle size of between 0 and 800 mm.
The plant, built for an output capacity of 300,000 t/y, has been designed to produce:
0-30 mm aggregates for road bases
crushed sand, 0-5 mm
aggregates of 3-8 mm, 8-16 mm and 16-22 mm
The plant has been sized for a fast-growing market such as that of infrastructure in Africa.
