After 140 years, a real adventure and no less fascinating is to circumnavigate the Sicilian coast with its 139 harbours. With over 1500 kilometres of coastline, “Trinacria”, name which derives from the three extremities, Capo Passero, Capo Peloro e Capo Boeo, is an ideal target for boats with its gulfs, spectacular bays, and hidden corners which can be reached only by sea.

Tourist harbours are at same time points of arrival for the boats and points of departure for discovering cities of art and Sicilian inland.

Leaving Messina, then Giardini Naxos, Catania, splendid Siracusa, rounding Capo Passero we aim to Marsala and Trapani, overcoming Marina di Ragusa, Porto Empedocle, Licata; and eventually along the coast, the chief town Palermo and nearby Cefalù, Capo D’Orlando and romantic Milazzo.

At the end the magnificent Aeolian Islands, seven wonders which are waiting to be discovered arriving by sea. Sicily: a tour of a world in less than 80 days
